My Craft talk is from the poem Drive-By in the book sacrilegious by Lamar Wilson its page 28. The poem starts with “bah daaaaaaaah! Bah daaaaaaah! Bah doo dah!
The strategy here is Onomatopoia. This is a word that imitates the natural sounds of a thing.
I chose this strategy because it creates a sound effect that mimics the thing described, making the description more expressive and interesting. Adding exclamation marks grabs the reader’s attention and creates a sound that the reader can then imagine.
